A festival style wedding in Suffolk. Rookery Meadow is a secret wedding venue which is perfect for your DIY wedding.

With the power to make your wedding day your own, and the freedom to decorate the meadow as you wish, it is the most amazing wedding venue I have worked at. Not only did Emma and Tristan choose an epic way to spend their wedding day, they also chose to have 2 donkey’s as their flower girls.

Imagine my delight when they announced to me during the final details meet that their flower girls would be wearing gorgeous boho flower crowns, but were also four legged and furry. IMAGINE!

The girls got ready in a beautiful air bnb stables, 10 minutes from the wedding venue, Rookery Meadow. On route, I had to stop the car (and traffic) to allow 10 ducks to cross the road. I then got stuck behind 3 horses and also just missed a pheasant running wildly from field to field. What a dramatic start to the day. As bride Emma arrived at the wedding venue, so did the drizzle of rain but this did not dampen the spirits of the wedding guests, who were waiting the arrival of the bridal party, whilst under the most gorgeous and historic oak tree. Rain on your wedding is actually good luck, I’ll have you know.

There were so many incredible moments throughout the day and I have selected just a few to provide you with fantastic vision of the day.
